Life on a Ship

My husband Scott and I are now on our eighth consecutive week, back to back, on the Celebrity Beyond ship. We have three more to go before we depart. Each year we have increased the number of cruises that we go on. I enjoy gambling on the ships so I receive complementary cruises. We only pay for our port charges and taxes. We have scheduled 49 complimentary cruises in 2025, this is the first time we have done 11 weeks in a row on the same ship. I’m going to share with you what it’s like to live on a cruise ship.

Usually, the first question I get asked is why? Why do you want to live on a cruise ship?
First a little about us. We met and married 10 years ago, having both lost their spouses in their 50s. We both loved to cruise and lived in Central Florida. It was natural that we could cruise regularly. Although I was still working, we managed to fit several short and a couple long cruises each year. I found that the more I cruised, the more free cruises I was offered.
** I do want to say, when I refer to a “FREE CRUISE “ I mean that we do not pay for the cruise itself. We still have to pay the port charges, taxes and what it cost to gamble in the casino” **
After Covid, we started cruising more and more as the offers increased. In four years, we have cruised all over the world, including Europe, Japan, South America, Australia/New Zealand, Caribbean and much more.

What we’ve learned in our travels, is that not all cruise lines are created EQUAL! Their LOYALTY programs and CASINO programs are very different from each other. Why should that matter to you?
Whether you plan to cruise once a year or live on a cruise ship, you want the best value and experience for your money. Whether you like to gamble or don’t, you want to get the most for your money.
Now, if you’re one of those people that has all the money you need and can afford the very best, this probably isn’t for you. I’m talking to the people that live on a budget or will retire on a budget. You don’t need to have a lot of money to do what we do. You just have to have a strategy.
Frequently asked questions
Here are some of the questions I get most often:

These are just a few of the questions I’ll be answering through my blogs, social media posts, and YouTube videos.
